Credit Guide

Last reviewed 28 October 2026

This guide explains who provides your credit assistance, how we are paid and what to do if something goes wrong. It is a summary. The full Credit Guide from our licensee, Connective, is available on request and will be provided to you before any credit assistance is given.

Who we are

Charter Point Finance is operated by Adam Bacic, a Credit Representative authorised under Australian Credit Licence 389328, held by Connective. As a Credit Representative, Adam is authorised to provide credit assistance under Connective's licence, and Connective is responsible for the conduct of its representatives.

What we do

We help you compare credit products from a panel of more than 70 lenders, prepare and lodge applications, and manage the process through to settlement. We are required by law to assess whether a proposed loan is not unsuitable for you, based on your requirements, objectives and financial situation.

The information on this website is general in nature and does not take into account your objectives, financial situation or needs. It is not credit advice, tax advice, visa or foreign investment advice, or an offer of credit.

How we are paid

For most residential loans, the lender pays a commission to our licensee after your loan settles, and a share of that commission is paid to us. You do not pay us a fee for standard home loan services. If a fee would ever apply to your matter, we will tell you in writing before you commit. Commission details for your specific loan are disclosed in the credit proposal document you receive before you proceed.

Your rights

You can request a copy of the preliminary assessment we rely on when recommending a loan, free of charge, for up to seven years after the assistance is provided. You can also ask questions about any recommendation at any time.

If something goes wrong

If you have a complaint, contact Adam first at adam@charterpointfinance.com or 0474 459 253. If it is not resolved, you can escalate it to Connective, and then to the Australian Financial Complaints Authority. The full process is set out on our complaints page.
